The Gatlinburg Craftsmen’s Fair will bring artists and crafters from around the country to the Great Smoky Mountains for an amazing 10 day convention. With art demonstrations, live music, and more, the Craftsmen’s Fair is a can’t miss Gatlinburg event.

2014 Gatlinburg Craftsmen’s Fair Location and Hours

The Craftsmen’s Fair will last from July 18 – 27 at the Gatlinburg Convention Center. You’ll find the Convention Center at 234 Historic Nature Trail near traffic light #8.

The fair’s hours are from 10 a.m to 6 p.m. On Sundays, the fair will end at 5 p.m. Adult admission is $6 and kids 12 and under get in for free!

All Kinds of Art

The Gatlinburg Craftsmen’s Fair will feature every type of art and craft imaginable, including stained glass, jewelry, pottery, painting, woodworking, and so much more. All of the artists in attendance are subject to review from a jury of experts, so you can be assured their work is extremely high quality.

The craftsmen at the fair are always happy to answer any questions about their work. Some artists will even perform live art demonstrations, so you can see how they create their pieces.

Live Music

As you check out all of the great art at the festival you’ll get to enjoy live country and bluegrass music! There be performances every day of the Craftsmen’s Fair at noon, 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. This year’s musical guests are Dennis Lee and Tim Watson.

Dennis Lee has blended his two great loves, music and comedy, to create a hugely entertaining show. Lee’s strong voice and hilarious antics have allowed him to perform in front of over a million people in the company of stars like Sheryl Crow and the Beach Boys.

Armed with his trusty fiddle, Tim Watson is truly a force to be reckoned with. Known as “The Fiddle Man”, Watson has appeared with Randy Travis, Tammy Wynette, and a host of other country stars. You can see Watson in his element in the video below:

New Children’s Area

The Gatlinburg Craftsmen’s Fair will also feature a brand new kids workshop area. Children can stop on by and create their own works of art! Planned projects include painting a birdhouse, making jewelry, and other fun activities. The kids area is completely free and open to children two and older.
