While the Gatlinburg SkyLift Park is already a “must-see” attraction in the Smoky Mountains, things are getting even better this fall with the premiere of the SkyTrail! This interactive hiking trail will be the first of its kind in downtown Gatlinburg and offer a unique perspective of the world famous SkyBridge and Great Smoky Mountains! Here are the top 3 things that you need to know about the new SkyTrail coming to Gatlinburg SkyLift Park:

1. What to Expect

The SkyTrail at Gatlinburg SkyLift Park offers a scenic walkway that connects both sides of the SkyBridge and can be walked in either direction. The path follows the contours and slope of Crockett Mountain and is sure to be an enjoyable experience for guests of all ages! The east side of the trail is constructed of a wooden boardwalk, while the west side consists of a paved walkway. Regardless of which route you take, the trail allows you to fully appreciate the length and height of the SkyBridge! The SkyTrail will also be expanded to include covered rest areas with interpretive signage to learn more about the SkyBridge, SkyLift, and wildfires that swept through the area in 2016.

2. How to Access to the SkyTrail

Gatlinburg SkyLiftThe only way to access the SkyTrail is via the Gatlinburg SkyLift, a ski lift style attraction that takes you from the Parkway in downtown Gatlinburg to the top of Crockett Mountain. After you travel 500 vertical feet to the top, you will find the expansive new SkyDeck with fabulous views that look out over Gatlinburg and the highest peaks of Great Smoky Mountains National Park! The SkyTrail is accessible to everyone, so be sure to bring everyone from the kids to the grandparents! After visiting the trail, the SkyLift takes you back down the mountain for more spectacular views.

3. Admission Information

All Gatlinburg SkyLift Park tickets include unlimited access to the SkyLift, SkyBridge, SkyTrail and SkyDeck until closing, weather permitting. This means that you are free to walk along the SkyTrail and SkyBridge for as long as you want! Keep in mind that the ticket window closes and the last chair up the mountain is at 10 PM, the SkyBridge closes at 10:30 PM, and the mountain closes at 11 PM.
