The fun starts with a ride to the top of Anakeesta on the scenic Chondola, a unique fixed grip transportation system with 104 traditional ski lift style quad chairs and eight 6-person gondola cabins. This is the first ride of its kind to be built in the USA, and you can choose how you would like to ride to the summit! As you soar 600 feet to the top of Anakeesta Mountain, enjoy the views of downtown Gatlinburg and be sure to take a few pictures to remember your journey!

3. Hours of Operation

Anakeesta in Gatlinburg opens daily at 9 a.m. and closes at various hours throughout the year, so be sure to consult the official Anakeesta operating calendar when planning your visit. The calendar will also keep you updated on any special events taking place on the mountain, including live musical performances.

As another awesome perk, if you purchase your ticket after 6 p.m. you can get in free on the following day! Your admission fee includes the Chondola ride, Children’s Treehouse Village Playground, Memorial Forest Walk and the Tree Canopy Walk. Please note that the Dueling Zipline is available for an extra fee.

5. Directions and Parking

Anakeesta is located just minutes from Top Cabin Rentals at 576 Parkway, which is in the heart of downtown Gatlinburg at traffic light #5. There is plenty of parking available at the two garages across the street at Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies, as well as at the McMahan Parking Garage at traffic light #3. There is also a privately owned paid lot adjacent to Anakeesta.
